I have had a very constrained ammount of time to post over the past two days, so this post will be short. I wanted to just convey my thoughts on a few issues around the internet these days.

Top Affiliate Challenge

I wrote a rant about this about a week ago. Since then the show has been steadily improving. Although it is no where near perfect it has improved upon itself to a point to where it doesn’t hurt your eyes to watch. That being said, they need to give out better info, setting a min bid of $2.00 on a PPC campaign where you’re bidding on default keywords (as they instructed one episode) is a way to get killed on a offer! You have to give you readers information that will make them money, not loose them it. That being said they are going in the right direction.

Tip From A Pro

It has been a while since I’ve posted a tip from a pro in a area of online marketing. NickyCakes blogs about affiliate marketing over at NickyCakes.com. He has a simple no nonsense approach to affiliate marketing and provides some good info. He says:

“This is everything you need to know to be successful at affiliate marketing: Pick an offer, pick a traffic source, put the two together, if it works, keep it, and move on, if it doesn’t work, throw it out, and move on.”

Now that is a no crap approach to telling a simplified version of affiliate marketing. A lot of people make thigns to complex. Take a framework of the simple idea and expand. You’d be suprised, but a lot of the time, the simple ideas are the best

I still don’t think I am going to skip this show…

However the tip is priceless :). I guess everything is pretty much as simple as that if you want it to be!!

Thanks for the second post. We are very happy with the direction of the show and given the situations we had to work with (murphy’s law at its best) I am proud of the product.

@ Forest - Absolutely, no need to over complicate things, simple is best.

@ Thor - I am happier than I was a couple days ago. That being said, if you want some quality tips, email me, or get me to give you a call, I’ll point out some flaws that you can easily fix.

@ Rajaie - I’ll try to get some more often for ya

I like nittycakes.com a lot, but it can be really black hat a lot of the times so it’s tough to listen to and follow everything that you read. I’m looking forward to the results of your contest… hope I win! :)

Great tip….I’ll be checking out the site. As far as TAC, I haven’t had a chance to check out the newer episodes yet, but I have been hearing great things.

I didn’t think it was too, too bad, I always try to find the best, and what I can learn. The main thing I think most were hoping to see was some actual tips and methods being used.

However, it’s still entertaining to watch people do something you love.
