Sunday Stats #8 - A Goodbye
Today is a sad day. It is that time again, Sunday stats. Today is our last Sunday stats ever due to the fact that we are moving our stat reporting to once a month. The reason for this is you as the readers were getting bored and it was getting harder and becoming a useless task to track weekly stats. So lets get down to it…..
Stats
Here are last weeks stats:
Alexa Rank: 155,480
Technorati Rank: 224,227
Unique Visitors: 2,983
RSS subscribers: 59
Here are this weeks stats:
Alexa Rank: 136,038
Technorati Rank: 179,530
Unique Visitors: 3,644
RSS subscribers: 67
Analysis
As you can see this week brought our stats to another all time high. All the stats are up and things are looking up. Increased Stumbleupon traffic has caused our unique visitors to jump to over 3,500 this week. Technorati and Alexa have followed suit jumping up (our Technorati is finally in the 100,000 range…). In terms of subscribers, it has grown by 8 this week. Not bad and welcome to all you new faces.
Earnings
The blog grossed $15 in private ad sales this week. I attribute this to the OIOpublisher plugin and the ease in which it has allowed me to sell ads.
I have raised our 125×125 banner ad prices to $10/month but honestly, get them while they’re hot. With over 11,000 unique visitors in the last 1 month period and more next month, I would be surprised if they didn’t sell out fast.
Link Love
Don’t fear just because Sunday stats are gone doesn’t mean there won’t be link love for our top commentators anymore. Throughout the month there will be little mentions and some nice backlinks for our top 6 commentators.
Here you go guys:
Wrap-up
I would once again like to extend a huge “thank you” to all my readers for continuing to read this blog and give quality feedback and comments. You guys rock!

Congratulations on increasing your stats to an all time high, it’s good to see!
Yes, I like what I see Mattaw my friend, I say we shouldn’t mourn the future absence of the weekly stats, since they became monthly for a good reason - your blog is established well now. Congratulations, when you’re an A-lister I’ll get my girlfriend to bake you cookies just so you don’t forget us.
–Ted
@ Ted - They better be chocolate chip. I won’t forget you buddy (unless they’re that oatmeal rasin crap, seriously, I eat them expecting chocolate and get none. That’s disappointing)
Mattaw, it is nice to see that your blog is continuing to grow. Keep up the good work.
Ummm….can I have some cookies too?
Jon, by the time they get sent to me, and I send them to you, they’d be hard as a rock. Thats a lot of postal cookie transfer time. I’ll tell you what though, as soon as I get something in the mail that won’t expire in transit, maybe if you ask really nicely I’ll pass it on to you
I will hold you to it.
This is interesting and gives me something to work towards. Thanks and keep up the good work!
