Sunday Musings - July 27, 2008
A lot of things have happened this week that I feel I should comment about. Some you guys may have heard about, others, maybe not.
PageRank Zero!
So, I got slapped with a PR 0. I honestly can’t see why my pagerank fell from 2 to 0. This pagerank update has been a bit harsh, but I shall see what happens as the update settles out in the next few days. I’m a bit disappointed as I was expecting to go up to a 3 or maybe even a 4 in this update. As I get more information I’ll keep you guys posted. There was no blackhat or any kind of shady stuff going on with this blog, so hopefully this will all get sorted out.
Affiliate Challenge 2
The second affiliate challenge is really kicking off. The first round of stats will be available Monday and I’m expecting big things. You guys rock, and hopefully the numbers will to!

One of my good friends in this webverse, Jim from TheNetFool, has just launched Bullish Bankers with his friends. It focuses on economic and stock advice and looks great. I recommend going over there and checking it out asap.

Yeah buddy, I’m not sure what happened, I know you operate on the up and up…I still don’t understand Google at all, but, keep providing the content you do. Your traffic is good and your readership keeps growing so that’s all that matters I think!

Try not to worry about it man… I don’t think any differently. The first time I visited your blog I was like, “dude, this place rocks!” I love the design and the header graphic, I enjoy the very smooth and relaxing colors you use in the CSS and various background graphics… and most importantly I really enjoy what you write about.
Let your FeedBurner chicklet dictate how well you are doing as a blog author and then whatever your PageRank may be… it is what it is.. I would much rather have my 1400 RSS subscribers over having a PR5. Consequently I have both… but if I could only choose one or the other, I’d be stupid to choose the PR5 over my readership.
Keep up the awesome work and you can count on having me as a reader.

I heard about Pagerank update, but I am not excited. My blog is just new so I am not expecting anything. As other bloggers say, a PR is just a number, you can still get traffic even without it.

I was surprised by the drop two. Very undeserved and Google may have thought you did something wrong… there is some kind of appeal system that I have heard of. Just never used it.
