Referrals: A Source Of Passive Income
Lately I feel I haven’t been giving enough time to you guys in terms of actually making money online. Today I want that to change. I want to talk about passive income through referrals today.
What is it?
Referrals are literally people you refer to a service. Many programs such as Get Paid To Websites (pay you to do offers), affiliate networks, and other programs that make money online offer a referral program. Basically how it works is you send them a possible prospect and you get a % of what they make with the program if anything
Income with no work, sounds to good to be true…
It isn’t to good to be true, but it takes work. You have to find the referrals, but if you get a couple good ones earning it is passive income. Literally your referrals will be making money and happy, and you will make a nice % as a result as well.
Generally I have found affiliate percentages to range from anywhere from 2% - 10%. I personally make a couple bucks here and there with my referrals. While it is nothing to brag about, it is passive income, and is money in my pocket.
So, now you know what they are and how you can earn with them, let’s talk strategy….
How Can I Get Them
Most programs will give you a code to use. Using this code, anyone that signs up through it, will get attached to your account as your referral.
You have to try to think like your potential prospects. Where leads and sales guarantee you commissions, referrals do not. As a result, I prefer to try to get them for free. Forums are a great way of doing this. As well, you could try to write guides for the program. This will inform people and not only get you referrals but help them earn as well, maximizing your referral income.
I would not recommend referring friends and family in this case unless they actually want to do what you are referring them for. These passive income referrals need to earn to help you earn. Referring people just to push up your count is useless unless they actually make something, or do something so you can make some money. This being said, if your friends and family can make some money, they are some of the best people to refer, as you can help them, and they feel an attachment to you so may try harder than other prospects.
Cultivating your referrals can take a bit of work, but, if you write a guide as I stated before, it can help get you referrals and educate them as well. It can be a great timeless way to educate people about a product and get them to sign-up under your link as well.
Now What….
Now that you have some referrals, sit back and let the cash roll in…

I will get to referrals pretty soon too. I think that’s the logical step towards expanding your money earning horizons, since CPC is so… yesterday

not quite yesterday, but I do prefer passive or recurring streams of income to a one time stream, if you know what I mean
yeh, but it is very hard to get referrals.
do you have some tips for me.
blogger - if you told me what program you’re trying to get referrals to, I could point you in the right direction..
To make money online is a large percentage of today’s population goal in the recession that is upon us. Small business owners and most major companies are looking to make money online too. With webhosting ranging from 6.95 to 20 dollars per month start up cost and monthly fees are far less than running a brick and mortar business.
Agreed, thats why if you get good referrals they can cover your hosting fees and such for quite a while with the passive income they generate for you
