Monthly Stats Report, May 2008

Today is the first of June. As a result, it`s stats time for May! This month saw some good increases but some slower growth than I would have liked.

Stats

Monthly Unique Visitors: 10,708 Unique Visitors
Old numbers: 10,167 Unique Visitors
RSS: 106 readers
Old numbers: 96 readers
Technorati Rank: 45, 762
Old rank: 98, 602
Alexa Rank: 409, 225
Old rank: 232,526
Monthly Revenue for this blog: $85.17
Ad and review sales: $75
Affiliate commission: $5.17

Traffic and RSS Readers

As you can see this month our RSS crept slowly up as did our unique visitors. That is a sign of a healthy blog but slower growth than I would have liked. That being said, our Technorati rank shot way up more than halving its previous months placing. To balance that out our Alexa rank sharply fell. This is something I personally do not understand. It is something that I will just have to ride out but would rather see go lower than higher.

Earnings

Our earnings continued to improve. My MarketLeverage referrals made a me $5.17 this month which is up almost $5 from last month. I also saw an increase in ad revenue because Tyler Cruz bought a paid review of PublisherSpot and as well as all my ad spaces selling out. I hope earnings will continue to grow next month.

Wrap up

One thing I am not happy about is that I have not got for find a super cool prize/gift to give you guys upon hitting 100 readers. I decided not to go with t shirts because I want to do something unique. What do you guys feel about a cool USB gift (USB pen, mouse, key or something else?). Let me know your thoughts and thanks again for reading MoneyBites.com.

You have some nice traffic. It is strange that it isn’t converting to rss that well.

@ Alexa D - Thanks buddy

@ Rajaie AlKorani - I have had it since the end of January 2008ish…

@ Nick - Yeah, not a bad idea, I was thinking of doing a few mouses actually, more expensive but nicer..

@ Tom - That is because of the social media traffic. That being said, I expect my traffic to fall drastically next month as I work on getting a far larger share of my traffic to be organic search traffic.

Good numbers buddy! I don’t know what it is, but some people just don’t subscribe to rss feeds…..I wish it was like automatic! lol

Seriously though, keep it up, you know that blogs grow slow, your numbers are looking great! What do you use for your stats?
