Enough of myself announcing stats or contests. I know for the past day or so that’s what I’ve been doing, but its time to get back to how to earn online, after all that’s what you want to know right!
So lets get into the topic of ways to get your website remembered, or more specifically, five ways to have your website remembered by a visitor.
- Uniqueness – of course this has to be in this list. If your website is unique more people will remember it, and you better hope it sticks out like a sore thumb! If people can think, “oh, its that website”, there is a greater chance for them to mention it to others or come back again.
- Edgy Content- hey, it works! You know what they say sex sells (look at the beginning of this post to see what I mean, got your attention didn’t I!). Although content may be edgy it will ultimately help your website be remembered. By edgy content I don’t only mean pictures, I mean words to. You want to throw in some controversial or opinionated posts and speak strongly for one side. People will be inclined to jump in and discuss it and come back looking for more.
- Morals – We live in a world where a lot of people like to think highly of one thing or another. By giving your website a set of morals, preferably good ones, it will make visitors more empathetic to you thinking your website is doing a good thing and they will want to help you out or come back. After all, I am saving the Gedrameos Mammal (Aka some made up name for myself) with this website (so come back to help it out).
- A clear purpose – your website should have a clear purpose. If your content and purpose is all over the place, people will stop coming back or won’t come back in the first place because it just isn’t the place to go for information on whatever your website is about.
- A personality – Your website or blog should have a personality if it has content that is updated regularly. No one wants to read some site written like a textbook. That’s boring! Make your website have a personality. People want to be able to relate to an author, or at least look up to him. When is the last time you looked up to a textbook (let’s say it’s the really boring textbook you’ve always hated, just for good measure)?
Those five points should help users remember your website more easily. If your website already evokes the majority of the points I’ve outlined then kudos to you. If not you may want to look at them. In a world where social networks and other forms of media bring mass amounts of visitors of some websites, you must be able to make yours rememberable or those visitors will just pass on by.

I think personality matters the most no one wants to see a boring blog but the world is pretty crazy we seem to like strange things for example Jerry Springer lol ~Nick~
Agreed, but I don’t think that one is necessarily more important than the other. Its how they are combined and executed that is most important.
excellent advice the post gave me alot of insight.
Glad I could help.
