Affiliate Managers, A Tool To Be Used
So, today, what should we talk about? I know I’ve been talking a lot about affiliate offers, so as not to break the trend. Lets talk about a whole different aspect of affiliate programs. Your affiliate manager.
Most CPA (cost per action) companies assign you an affiliate manager when you join up. This person can easily become the most important person for you in the company. They give you a person to talk to, befriend and in the end they’ll help you out. They’re there to serve you.
I want to discuss two parts of the affiliate manger, what makes a good affiliate manager and how you can use your affiliate manager.
Well what does make a good affiliate manager. Before we talk about that, I want everyone to understand that the quality of an affiliate manager, will greatly influence a persons decision to stick with the company. They should be accommodating, if you have a request that’s abnormal they should make it seem like they care. They should always have time for you, and if they don’t they should schedule an appointment with you. They should always speak nicely to you as well, they should be friendly. If they don’t do their job properly request a new affiliate manager or leave the program. There are other programs out there that would be happy for your business. Because the more you make, the more the CPA company makes. In my experience smaller CPA companies have better affiliate managers. They need your business while the bigger ones may be defaults, they have to fight it out to win market share. The programs I recommend for excellent affiliate service personally are Maxbounty and Market Leverage.
The second point is how you can use your affiliate manager. Well you can use them to get the best price on offers first. Before I decide to use an offer I check other programs to see if they have that, if they have it and pay more, I can go to my affiliate manager of program X (if I like that program more) and see if they can match or beat it. Usually they can, this ultimately makes you more money. You can also use these affiliates for a social networking standard. They want you to succeed so you can ask them to help you out on certain things. For example, with this blog, I’ve had some off my affiliate managers become steady readers due to the fact I showed them it and asked them to keep an eye on it. And if the program has something you want but they don’t yet have it, talk to your affiliate manager, they should try to accommodate you. If they can’t I’d drop the program if it becomes chronic, there are other great programs out there.
Again, an affiliate manager can be a great resource to use if you utilize them well. But remember they are people to. In an optimal relationship with them, you can provide them (the company) with something and they can give back to you. Over the years I’ve had a few great affiliate managers, and honestly they’ve helped make my time as an affiliate more enjoyable as a whole. Thanks to all the great affiliate managers out there that make the life of an everyday affiliate better by doing their job and doing it well.

Affiliate managers are generally a great resource for the person who doesn’t have the kind of money to influence people otherwise. It is one of the things adsense is missing and one of the reasons I don’t miss adsense.
It is nice to have someone on your side where your money is made and to find early offers that interest you.
